'Anxious' and 'tormented' Theresa May 'begged for help' at Brexit meeting with Juncker
An 'anxious', 'tormented' and 'despondent' Theresa May 'begged for help' during a high profile Brexit meeting last week, according to reports.
Within the report, Mrs May also allegedly told the EU top brass that 'back home, friend and foe are plotting to bring her down'.
The highly personal details were leaked following a private Brexit meeting between Theresa May and top EU officials including Jean-Claude Juncker.
These latest revelations have thrown devastating new light on exactly how desperate and clueless Theresa May and the Conservatives have conducted themselves during Brexit negotiations.
The leaks, published by German publication Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), state that as well as the PM seeming 'anxious', 'despondent, 'discouraged', and 'tormented', she also allegedly needed to use the 'utmost force to avoid losing her temper'.
Theresa May's former policy chief Nick Timothy has accused Jean-Claude Juncker’s chief of staff, Martin Selmayr, of leaking the highly damaging information:

However, Mr Selmayr - who has previously been accused of leaking private details of other high profile EU meetings - denied the latest accusations, telling Theresa May's former Chief of Staff that he had 'no interest in weakening' the Prime Minister:

These most recent leaks follow an April meeting between the Tory Brexit team and EU officials where Mr Juncker was alleged to have remarked 'I leave Downing Street ten times as sceptical as I was before.
However, these latest leaks paint an even more negative picture of the Prime Minister, stating:

And with numerous leadership plotters within her own ranks, as well as an highly popular opposition leader heaping pressure on the Prime Minister and her deeply divided Cabinet, it would be no surprise to see EU officials ramp up negotiations with the Labour Party even further in preparation for the inevitable fall of the current administration.
