I’m also not going to play into their trap of getting people to self-flagellate in public or condemn what in international law - the right of an occupied people to resist the illegal occupation using armed force and violence - is totally legitimate.
Are we really clear that Hamas did kill the 1400 festival goers on October 7th? There have been compelling eye-witness statements from Jewish survivors of that day recounting that Hamas were hostage taking, whereas the IDF’s retaliatory panicked shelling and gunfire actually resulted in the majority of the casualties. Of course the West’s neoliberal MSM does not give voice to these actual survivor stories because they do not fit the West’s pro-Zionist narrative, instead our major news outlets prefer to promote easily discredited nonsense such as beheaded babies. Given that this objectivity is being stifled in favour of bought and paid for pro-Zionist subjectivity it brings into question whether or not Hamas actually did kill 1400 during their raid of the Re’im music festival on October 7th.
